The Furnishing Budget Calculator is a client-friendly approach to establishing initial budgets for your decorating and furnishing projects.
As a designer, you want to have stress-free conversations with your clients about what they'd like to invest in their home. So we designed the Furnishing Budget Calculator to be sent to your clients early in the discovery phase of their project so you can approach these conversations with professionalism and ease.
The calculator is built with well-researched pricing and room estimates to help you jump-start the budgeting process quickly and learn more about what your clients value most. As your clients select their preferred price tiers for each item the interactive calculator will begin estimating their total investment including freight, receiving, and white-glove delivery costs. When your clients have ownership over these decisions it increases their engagement in the design process, and ensures you're on the same page from the beginning.
This customizable Google Sheet contains two tabs: one with suggested furnishing quantities for each room, while the second tab gives you the ability to recommend the quantities of furnishings as you develop more defined needs with your clients. You'll decide which of these to use and send to your clients.

This budget worksheet is incredibly helpful and a necessary resource for your design biz. It has helped me in so many ways! For newer designers, it will give you a much clearer understanding of what it actually costs to pull a room together. No more underestimating project costs which ultimately just disappoints clients. It also helps get the budget conversation with the client out of the way early on in the process and then works as "guardrails" internally while sourcing. It's easy to use and integrate into client onboarding processes too. This is a great resource, do not hesitate to purchase!!
